twitches
Involuntary small movements
Twitches are small, sudden, involuntary movements—usually of muscles: Her eye twitches when she's stressed, nervous twitches.
The word covers both the action and the sensation.
To twitch is to make such a movement, or to pull something with a quick jerk: He twitched the curtain aside.
Figuratively, something that twitches your interest gives it a sharp tug.
