tuckpointed
Joints freshly mortared
Tuckpointed describes masonry that has had its mortar joints repaired or refinished through tuckpointing—a process of removing old, deteriorating mortar and pressing fresh mortar into the gaps between bricks or stones.
The tuckpointed chimney looked like new.
The technique restores both structural integrity and appearance to aging brickwork.
