trading stamp

Supermarket loyalty token

A trading stamp was a small printed stamp given by retailers to customers based on purchase amounts, collected and redeemed for merchandise from catalogs.

Popular from the 1930s through 1970s, S&H Green Stamps being the most famous, they functioned as an early customer loyalty program before credit card rewards largely replaced them.
