arcade token
Pinball machine payment
A small metal or plastic coin-like disc used in place of money at video arcades, amusement parks, or entertainment centers.
Tokens are purchased at the venue and inserted into machines to play games or operate rides: We bought a cup of arcade tokens and spent the afternoon playing pinball.
Though largely replaced by card-based systems, tokens remain nostalgic symbols of 1980s and 1990s gaming culture.
