tracklayer
Lays down rails
A tracklayer is a worker who lays railroad tracks, positioning and securing rails to ties.
The term also applies to tracked vehicles—bulldozers, tanks, and other heavy machinery that move on continuous metal treads rather than wheels: The tracklayer crawled across the muddy construction site.
