Hot pressed sandwich
A toastie is a grilled sandwich, typically with cheese and other fillings pressed between slices of bread and heated until the outside is crispy and the inside melted.
The term is chiefly British; Americans would say grilled cheese or panini.
I grabbed a ham and cheese toastie for lunch.
