sandwich press
Heated bread compressor
A sandwich press is a countertop appliance with two heated plates that clamp together to toast and compress sandwiches.
The ridged plates create grill marks and melt cheese while crisping bread.
Also called a panini press or panini maker, though it works on any sandwich: I made a grilled cheese in the sandwich press.
