tiedowns
Secure load restraints
Tiedowns are straps, ropes, or fasteners used to secure cargo or equipment during transport.
They prevent loads from shifting on trucks, trailers, or aircraft: Check the tiedowns before we hit the highway.
The term also applies to anchor points where aircraft are secured on the ground to prevent movement in high winds.
