ticktacktoe
Nine-square strategy
Ticktacktoe is a simple game for two players who take turns marking Xs and Os in a three-by-three grid, each trying to get three in a row horizontally, vertically, or diagonally.
Children often play it on paper, though it appears on restaurant placemats and as a time-killer anywhere.
Optimal play always ends in a draw.
Also spelled tic-tac-toe.
