thinspiration
Pro-eating-disorder content
Thinspiration is online content—images, quotes, tips—meant to inspire extreme thinness, typically shared in pro-anorexia and pro-bulimia communities.
The word blends "thin" and "inspiration." Often shortened to thinspo.
Most social media platforms now restrict such content as harmful: The hashtag was banned for promoting thinspiration.
