telophase
Chromosomes reach poles
Telophase is the final stage of cell division, when chromosomes have finished separating and new nuclear membranes form around each set.
The cell begins to pinch in the middle, preparing to split into two daughter cells.
In mitosis there is one telophase; in meiosis there are two, producing four cells total.
