tasered
Shocked into compliance
Tasered means struck with a Taser, a brand of electroshock weapon that fires barbed darts connected to wires, delivering an incapacitating electric current.
Police use Tasers to subdue suspects without lethal force: The officer tasered him when he refused to drop the knife.
The verb has become generic, applying to any similar stun device regardless of brand.
