A tailslide is a skateboarding trick where the rider slides along an edge or rail with the tail of the board, weight balanced over the back trucks.
The term extends to similar maneuvers in snowboarding and surfing.
In aviation, a tailslide is a stall recovery maneuver where the aircraft slides backward momentarily before the nose drops.
