speed demon
Limit-ignoring driver
A speed demon is someone who drives or moves recklessly fast, often with connotations of thrill-seeking or impatience.
The term applies equally to drivers who habitually exceed speed limits and to anyone who works, plays, or operates at an unusually rapid pace.
My brother's a real speed demon on the highway.
Despite the demonic imagery, the phrase is usually used with mild disapproval or even grudging admiration rather than serious condemnation.
