south-east
Between south, east
South-east is the direction midway between south and east, or the region lying in that direction.
As an adjective or adverb, it describes position or movement toward that point: the south-east corner of the property, heading south-east toward the coast.
The hyphenated spelling is more common in British English; American English typically uses southeast.
