soundalike

Heard as identical

A soundalike is a person or recording that closely imitates the voice or musical style of a famous performer, often used in advertising or tribute acts when the original artist is unavailable or too expensive.

The term also applies more broadly to words that sound identical or nearly identical to other words, like "their" and "there." The commercial used a soundalike because they couldn't afford the real singer.
