soliloquize
Speak without audience
To soliloquize is to speak one's thoughts aloud, especially when alone or unaware of listeners.
The word comes from theater, where a soliloquy lets the audience hear a character's inner thoughts: Hamlet soliloquizes about whether to live or die.
Outside drama, it suggests talking to oneself or musing aloud without expecting a response.
