think-aloud
Narrate your thoughts
Think-aloud is a research or teaching method where someone verbalizes their thoughts while performing a task.
A student might think aloud while solving a math problem, revealing their reasoning process: Can you think aloud as you work through this?
The technique helps identify cognitive strategies, misconceptions, or decision points that would otherwise remain invisible.
Also used as a noun for the verbalization itself: The think-aloud revealed she was skipping a crucial step.
