sociodrama

Therapeutic group theater

Sociodrama is a form of group therapy or educational technique in which participants act out social situations and conflicts to explore relationships, roles, and collective problems.

Unlike psychodrama, which focuses on individual issues, sociodrama addresses shared social concerns: The workshop used sociodrama to examine workplace discrimination.

The method draws on improvisation and role-playing to build empathy and understanding among participants.
