skip counting
Counting by intervals
Skip counting is counting by a number other than one—by twos, fives, tens, or any fixed interval: 2, 4, 6, 8 or 5, 10, 15, 20.
It's a foundational math skill taught to young children as preparation for multiplication.
We practiced skip counting by threes today.
