skicross

Competitive slope racing

Skicross is a winter sport in which four to six skiers race simultaneously down a course featuring jumps, banked turns, and other obstacles.

Unlike traditional alpine racing where competitors ski individually against the clock, skicross emphasizes head-to-head competition, with the first skier across the finish line advancing.

The sport became an Olympic event in 2010.

She switched from slalom to skicross for the adrenaline rush.
