skiboards
Compact alpine planks
Skiboards are short, wide skis typically ranging from 75 to 110 centimeters in length, designed to be more maneuverable than traditional skis.
They emerged in the 1990s as a hybrid between skis and snowboards, appealing to beginners and trick-oriented skiers who wanted easier turning and a more playful experience on the slopes.
Unlike regular skis, skiboards often use standard snowboard-style bindings that accommodate regular winter boots.
I rented skiboards for my first day on the mountain.
