side shot
Angle from flank
A side shot is a photograph or video frame taken from a lateral angle, showing the subject's profile rather than facing the camera directly: The side shot revealed her silhouette against the sunset.
In billiards, a side shot puts spin on the cue ball.
In drinking culture, a side shot is an additional small pour accompanying the main drink.
