shower pan
Waterproof floor tray
A shower pan is the waterproof base of a shower stall that collects water and directs it to the drain.
It sits beneath the visible floor surface, preventing leaks into the subfloor.
Shower pans may be prefabricated from fiberglass or acrylic, or built on-site with a waterproof membrane: The tile installer discovered the old shower pan had cracked and needed replacement.
