weep holes
Masonry drainage openings
Weep holes are small openings in walls, windows, or retaining structures that allow trapped water to drain out.
They prevent moisture from accumulating behind brick veneer, in window frames, or against foundation walls: The mason left weep holes every few feet along the base of the wall.
Without them, water buildup can cause structural damage or mold.
