shortcode
Abbreviated messaging number
A shortcode is a brief, memorable code—typically five or six digits—used for sending text messages, often for marketing, voting, or donations: Text GIVE to 55555.
In web development, shortcodes are bracketed placeholders that expand into more complex content: Use the [gallery] shortcode to display images.
Also written as two words.
