shoeprint
Track from walking
A shoeprint is the impression left by a shoe on a surface—dirt, snow, a dusty floor.
In forensic contexts, shoeprints help identify suspects or place someone at a crime scene: Investigators found a shoeprint matching the defendant's sneaker.
Also called a footprint, though that term more often refers to bare feet.
