servicer

One who repairs

A servicer is a company or entity that manages accounts on behalf of another party—most commonly in the mortgage industry.

The loan servicer collects payments, manages escrow accounts, handles customer inquiries, and processes paperwork, even though they don't own the loan itself: My mortgage was sold, but the servicer stayed the same.

The term also applies to anyone who services equipment or machinery.
