delinquency
Minor's criminal behavior
Delinquency is failure to fulfill an obligation—especially a financial one.
A loan in delinquency has missed payments: After ninety days of delinquency, the account goes to collections.
The word also covers minor crimes or antisocial behavior, particularly by young people: juvenile delinquency.
A delinquency can be a single instance of either failing to pay or misbehaving.
