semiautomatics
One trigger, one bullet
Semiautomatics are firearms that fire one round per trigger pull and automatically reload the next round from a magazine.
The term distinguishes them from fully automatic weapons (which fire continuously while the trigger is held) and manual-action guns (which require cycling between shots).
The ban covered semiautomatics with detachable magazines.
