segues

Flows without stopping

Segues is the plural of segue, a smooth transition from one thing to another.

The term comes from music, where performers segue between pieces without pause, but it now applies broadly: The conversation segued into politics, The comedian's segues between bits were seamless.

As a noun, a segue is the transition itself: That was a perfect segue.
