interrupts
Breaks into conversation
Interrupts is usually the verb interrupt in the third person: She interrupts constantly.
To interrupt is to break into something ongoing—a conversation, a process, a train of thought.
The noun interrupt appears mainly in computing, where an interrupt is a signal that temporarily halts a processor to handle a higher-priority task: hardware interrupts, software interrupts.
