Rubber foam is a lightweight, spongy material made by introducing air bubbles into rubber during manufacturing.
It compresses easily and springs back, making it useful for cushioning, insulation, and padding: rubber foam mattresses, rubber foam padding in headphones.
The material appears in everything from seat cushions to weatherstripping.
