razorshell
Long, thin clam
A razorshell is a burrowing clam with a long, narrow shell resembling a straight razor or its folding handle.
These bivalves live in sandy or muddy coastal waters and dig rapidly when disturbed.
Also called razor clam: We dug for razorshells at low tide.
