A railway terminal is a station where a rail line ends rather than continues through.
Trains arrive, unload, and reverse direction or are removed for servicing.
Major cities often have grand terminals serving as architectural landmarks and transportation hubs: Grand Central Terminal in New York, St Pancras in London.
Also called a terminus.
