rackmount
Cabinet-mounted equipment format
Rackmount describes equipment designed to be installed in a standardized equipment rack—the metal frames used in data centers, recording studios, and broadcast facilities.
Server computers, network switches, and audio processors are typically rackmount devices, measured in rack units (U): a 2U rackmount server.
As a verb, to rackmount is to install equipment in such a rack.
