punchouts
Pre-cut removable pieces
Punchouts are the small pieces of material that get pushed out when you punch holes in something—the little paper circles from a hole punch, the perforated tabs you press out of cardboard packaging, or the knockout discs removed from electrical boxes.
In manufacturing and crafts, these remnants are sometimes saved for confetti or discarded as waste.
The term also applies to arcade or vending machine tickets that get punched to mark redemption.
