protractors

Geometry class tools

Protractors are semicircular measuring instruments marked in degrees, used to measure or draw angles.

Standard in geometry classrooms, they're placed with the center point on the angle's vertex and the baseline along one ray: Use your protractor to measure the angle.

The word also refers to muscles that extend a limb or body part forward.
