propanol

Isopropyl's structural sibling

Propanol is an alcohol with three carbon atoms, used as a solvent and in chemical manufacturing.

Two forms exist: 1-propanol (n-propanol) and 2-propanol, better known as isopropyl alcohol or rubbing alcohol.

The latter is the familiar disinfectant found in medicine cabinets and first-aid kits.
