prop bet
Non-outcome sports wager
A prop bet (short for proposition bet) is a wager on something other than the main outcome of an event—often a specific occurrence within a game rather than who wins.
In football, you might bet on whether a player scores a touchdown or how many yards they'll rush.
Prop bets extend beyond sports to events like award shows or elections: We had a prop bet on the length of the national anthem.
