preneed
Before death arrangements
Preneed describes goods or services arranged and paid for before they're actually needed, almost always referring to funeral arrangements.
A preneed insurance policy or preneed plan covers burial costs in advance, sparing survivors the burden of decisions and expenses during grief.
The funeral industry uses the term routinely: preneed sales, preneed counselor.
