postgraduates
Beyond the bachelor's
Postgraduates are students pursuing education beyond a bachelor's degree—master's programs, doctorates, or professional degrees.
The term is more common in British than American English, where "graduate students" or "grad students" prevails.
The university enrolled three hundred postgraduates this year.
As an adjective, postgraduate describes such study: postgraduate research, postgraduate degree.
