pontoon boats
Twin-hulled lake vessels
Pontoon boats are flat-bottomed watercraft supported by hollow cylindrical floats called pontoons.
The deck sits atop two or three pontoons, creating a stable platform for leisurely cruising, fishing, or entertaining on calm waters like lakes and rivers.
They sacrifice speed and maneuverability for spaciousness and stability: We rented a pontoon boat for the afternoon.
Also called pontoons or party barges.
