plowers
Furrow-making farmhands
Plowers are people or machines that plow—breaking up and turning soil for planting, or clearing snow from roads.
The word appears most often in agricultural and winter maintenance contexts: The plowers were out before dawn after the snowstorm.
Someone who plows through work or obstacles might also be called a plower.
