threshers
Harvest processing machines
Threshers are machines or people that thresh—separating grain from stalks and husks.
Before mechanization, threshers beat harvested crops with flails; modern combine harvesters do the work automatically.
A thresher shark has a long tail it uses to stun prey, whipping it like a flail.
The old threshers worked from dawn to dusk during harvest season.
