Your digital self
A player character is the fictional persona controlled by a human player in a video game or tabletop roleplaying game, as distinct from characters controlled by the game itself.
Often abbreviated PC.
In multiplayer games, each participant controls their own player character: My player character is a level-twelve paladin.
