photographic slides
Carousel projector fodder
Photographic slides are transparent positive images on film, typically mounted in cardboard or plastic frames for projection onto a screen.
Before digital photography, slides were the standard format for professional presentations and home viewing of vacation photos: We spent the evening looking at slides from their trip to Italy.
A slide projector advances through a carousel or tray of mounted slides, displaying each in sequence.
