party school
Campus known for socializing
A party school is a college or university known more for its social scene than its academics.
The term suggests heavy drinking, frequent parties, and a culture where students prioritize fun over studying: State U has a reputation as a party school.
Rankings of party schools appear in publications, though the designation is informal and often disputed by the institutions themselves.
