Horizontal camera movement
A pan shot is a camera movement where the camera rotates horizontally on a fixed axis, sweeping across a scene from side to side.
The technique follows action, reveals landscapes, or connects elements within a frame: The pan shot moved from the empty chair to the figure standing in the doorway.
