push in

Shove something deeper

To push in is to join a queue ahead of people already waiting—the British equivalent of cutting in line.

The act violates unwritten rules of fairness and often provokes irritation: Don't let him push in; we've been waiting for ages.

Someone who pushes in is a pusher-in.
